Polymarket has no stock, no ticker and no announced IPO. The firmest numbers are the October 2025 deal in which Intercontinental Exchange committed up to $2 billion at a valuation reported around $8 billion, and February 2026 reporting at about $9 billion. Revenue comes from the taker fees Polymarket rolled out in 2026 and from selling its data through ICE. For public-market exposure, ICE is the only listed company with a disclosed stake.
Ownership
Founder and CEO Shayne Coplan, employees, venture funds from earlier rounds, 1789 Capital (the firm linked to Donald Trump Jr., who joined as an advisor in 2025), and ICE. Full detail on who owns Polymarket.
Revenue
Through 2025 Polymarket charged almost nothing to trade. In January 2026 it began rolling out fees in the US app and on crypto markets, and by mid-2026 its published schedule charged takers a category rate (4% on politics and finance, 5% on sports and economics, 7% on crypto, 0% on geopolitics) × price × (1 − price), with makers paid rebates. Details on the fees page. ICE also distributes Polymarket's market data to institutions, a second revenue line.
IPO
Nothing filed, nothing announced. Given ICE's stake and its history of acquiring exchanges and data businesses, the paths are a listing, a sale, or a long private life. None of the three has been signalled.
Exposure
- ICE (NYSE: ICE): the only public company with a disclosed Polymarket stake, though it's a small part of a very large business.
- Secondary private markets: occasional, for accredited investors.
- Not exposure: any token, "pre-IPO" offer or social-media share sale using the Polymarket name.
