Gemini Predictions review

Gemini, the Winklevoss crypto exchange, didn't partner with Kalshi; it got its own licence. The CFTC approved Gemini Titan as a Designated Contract Market on December 10, 2025 and Gemini Predictions went live on December 15 for customers in all 50 states, with yes/no contracts on sports, politics, crypto, economics and entertainment, traded from the same account and wallet as your crypto. It's a credible exchange with one gap: a fee schedule you can read before trading.

How it's built

Gemini Titan is Gemini's exchange entity, registered as a DCM in its own right. That puts Gemini in the group that controls its own order book, rules and settlement (Kalshi, Polymarket US, Novig, ProphetX, Crypto.com, Underdog) rather than the brokers (Robinhood, Coinbase, Plus500) that give you Kalshi's markets. Gemini also signed a letter of intent with Apex Fintech to distribute its contracts through other brokers, so its markets may appear inside apps you already use.

Markets

Sports (an NFL Trading Hub launched for the September 2026 season), politics, crypto prices, economics and entertainment. Contracts are priced 1¢ to 99¢ and pay $1. Prepackaged combos are offered on sports. Depth is behind Kalshi on most markets; Gemini's crypto-native user base shows in the crypto price contracts.

Fees

Gemini describes maker/taker pricing with maker rebates and ran a reduced-fee launch window. We could not find a complete, current public schedule, and the affiliate reviews that cover Gemini don't quote one either. Treat the order ticket as the source of truth and compare it on a 50¢ contract against Kalshi (1.75¢ taker) and Polymarket (1–1.75¢).

Money

You fund Predictions through your Gemini account: crypto, ACH, wire, debit or credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay. Withdrawals go out via crypto, ACH or wire with standard Gemini fees. If your money already lives on Gemini, this is the frictionless part.

Availability

Gemini says all 50 states and DC. Sports contracts are exposed to the same state actions as every other platform; don't expect them where Kalshi's are blocked. Non-sports markets should be broadly available.

Who it's for

Gemini customers, especially crypto-focused traders who want event contracts next to their holdings. Without a published fee schedule or Kalshi-level depth, it isn't yet a reason to move money there.

Launch and licence dates per RotoGrinders (verified Oct 15, 2026) and Gemini's investor announcements; Apex Fintech LOI per KuCoin News.

Questions people ask

Is Gemini Predictions legit?

Yes. Gemini obtained its own Designated Contract Market registration (Gemini Titan) from the CFTC on December 10, 2025 and launched five days later, so it operates an exchange rather than routing to Kalshi. Gemini itself is a long-standing regulated US crypto exchange founded by the Winklevoss twins.

What does Gemini Predictions charge?

Gemini describes maker/taker pricing and ran reduced or fee-free trading at launch, but we couldn't find a complete published schedule as of October 2026. Check the order ticket and compare with Kalshi's 7% × P × (1 − P).

Do I need a separate account?

No. Predictions uses the same Gemini login and wallet as the crypto exchange, so existing users can trade immediately after confirming eligibility.

Is sports available in every state?

Gemini claims all 50 states for the product, but sports contracts face the same state actions as everyone else's. Expect restrictions in states like Nevada regardless of the headline.
